The short version: one license is for one person on 1 Mac. Use it for personal or commercial work, and move it to a new Mac whenever you like. Please don't share your license key or redistribute the App.
This End-User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and The Hangover Company ("we", "us") and covers the FrameShot software for macOS, including updates (the "App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to this Agreement. If you don't agree, don't install or use the App.
1. License
When you buy a license, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on 1 Mac that you own or control, for your personal or commercial purposes. A license belongs to one person; for use by several people, each needs their own license.
You may move your license to a different Mac at any time by deactivating it on the old one. If you can't (for example, because the old Mac was lost), contact us and we'll reset the activation.
2. Restrictions
You may not:
- share, publish, sell or otherwise distribute your license key;
- copy, rent, lease, sell, sublicense or redistribute the App;
- circumvent or disable license checks or other technical protections;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
- use the App to break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including recording people or content without the consent the law requires.
3. Your content
Everything you create with the App (screenshots, recordings, annotations) belongs to you. We claim no rights in it and never receive it.
4. Ownership
The App is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights, title and interest in the App, including its code, design and trademarks. The App may include third-party components that are subject to their own licenses, which are listed in the App.
5. Updates
Your license includes all updates we release. Updates are covered by this Agreement unless they come with different terms. We may change or remove features in updates.
6. Termination
This Agreement lasts until it's terminated. It ends automatically if you materially breach it, for example by distributing your license key. If your purchase is refunded or charged back, the license is revoked. When the Agreement ends, you must stop using and delete the App.
7. Disclaimer of warranty
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
9. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the country in which The Hangover Company is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection laws where you live. If any part of it is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
